What to Expect: Adoption/fostering, family, community, inspiration, love
Written by a Dr and CEO with first-hand experience of the foster care system, Love Makes the World Go ‘Round is an uplifting and inspirational book designed to help readers celebrate loving foster families and parents.
Even if you have not had the easiest start in life, Love knows exactly what to give you to help you succeed and thrive. It’s love that sees and notices your needs. It’s love that recognizes unique talents and hidden gifts. It’s Love that encourages and nurtures even the interests that seem unimportant. Love offers time, attention, and belief, and care. Where is Love? Love is all around you, in the community that supports you and makes a safe and caring home for you. With Love’s help, you can not only do whatever you dream of—you can also grow up to become Love yourself.
Through specific, inclusive examples, Love Makes the World Go ‘Round offers a model for how community and care can help children thrive even after a rough start in life. Richly colored paint illustrations support this message, showing a diverse range of families, all modeling what love and belonging can look like with real people in real situations.
Love Makes the World Go ‘Round is an empowering tribute to the power of family and community.
