What to Expect: Friendship, problem-solving, positive thinking, and doctor visits.
A to Z, Come Along with Me: Doctor’s Office Visit is a fun and educational story perfect for young readers. It provides a reassuring journey to help them feel confident and prepared for their next doctor’s visit.
Avery is not at all sure he likes visiting the doctor’s office. Holding his mother’s hand tightly, he hugs his toy monkey and stares at his feet—he wants to go home. But then he meets Abby, the friendly assistant, who has a big smile and a fun idea to make Avery feel better. Abby suggests a game: they can explore the office and find something for every alphabet letter! From “A” for Assistant (that’s Abby!) to “M” for Medication and “S” for Stethoscope, they discover all sorts of cool things. With each new find, Avery learns a little more, and his nerves start to fade away.
The artwork is vibrant and inviting, with colorful illustrations of the characters and medical tools. Each page is visually appealing, making the educational content enjoyable for young readers. The combination of engaging characters, a fun alphabet game, and bright illustrations makes this story a delightful and informative read for children. Each page features informational boxes focused on terminology, offering specific facts about medical tools, devices, and other cool medical paraphernalia, supplementing the artwork and narrative.
A to Z, Come Along with Me is not just a story, but an excellent resource for making doctor visits less scary, teaching young readers what to expect, and helping them feel confident, empowered, and ready for their appointments. It’s a tool that parents and caregivers can use to educate and reassure their children about doctor’s office visits, making the whole experience less daunting and more manageable.

About the Author
Children’s author Jennifer Rondina has been a nurse for ten years and is the mother to a four-year-old boy named Avery. When she and her husband, also in the medical field, moved across the country, she stayed home with Avery as they adjusted to the change and had an idea for a picture book. A to Z, Come Along With Me: Doctor’s Office Visit is a unique alphabet storybook that introduces words or terms a child may encounter at a doctor’s office visit.
Jennifer’s goal is for parents, educators, and medical professionals to use her book as a tool to prepare a child for a doctor’s visit and to alleviate any big emotions that they may have leading up to it. She hopes her young readers relate to the story’s character and overcome their fear and anxiety by feeling educated about the process and that it stays with them long after the book is closed.
Jennifer has a degree in Child Development and a BSN in Nursing. When she isn’t writing playful and informative stories for children, she enjoys hiking with her husband and Avery, and hanging out with her siblings, niece, and nephews. She lives with her family in Georgia along with chickens. A to Z, Come Along With Me: Doctor’s Office Visit is Jennifer’s debut children’s book with additional volumes coming soon.
