What to expect: Kitties, Laughs, and Lurking Tigers
Adam Stower follows up his Silly Doggy! book with another winner, Naughty Kitty! A little girl, named Lily, wants a dog, but her mom gets her a kitty instead because they are “less work.” Much to Lily’s surprise, the “little kitty” starts causing serious havoc and earns the nickname, “Naughty Kitty”. However, she doesn’t realize that it isn’t her little kitty causing all of the trouble, but rather a tiger. If your child reads this book in sequence, they may remember, that at the end of Silly Doggy!, they adopt a tiger; however, this is still a great read that will cause many laughs.
This hilarious book allows the reader to see the tiger causing all of the problems, even though the little girl never sees the tiger lurking in the background. The colorful and intricate illustrations tell the real story of the tiger causing all of the mayhem. Readers will love watching the tiger and be dismayed on how Lily is not aware of the tiger. Each page turn will be met, with fingers pointing towards the tiger along with a laugh. This book is an entertaining bed-time read for kids ages 3 to 8!
