My grandpa knew how much I hated country music so when we went on road trips he would purposely turn it to a country station and blare it loudly in the car.

Our family was headed on a vacation. I was about 4 and was continually car sick along the way. I was dropped off at my grandparents house while the family then went to their vacation spot. I was sad so grandfather snuggled me on his chair and we watched the Houdini movie. He explained the movie to me as it played. I loved my grandfather.

When I was young, as a child we would always go to my grandparents house on Sundays. We would have a big Sunday dinner together as a family. They would often make roast beef with mashed potatoes and homemade gravy and my cousin and I would make huge mountains of mashed potatoes with tons of gravy on them. I still love roast beef and mashed potatoes.
