“[T]he endearing, heartfelt tale of a young boy’s quest to be his authentic self.”
Book Overview
Roland Humphrey is Wearing a WHAT? is the endearing, heartfelt tale of a young boy’s quest to be his authentic self. When Roland Humphrey wears pink to school, his classmates inform him that he is breaking the “boy rules.” Roland is upset because, “For me hockey is fun, but also ballet; girls can like both—why for boys just one way?” He must make a choice: should he choose his clothes and activities based on what others tell him is acceptable, or should he remain true to himself? Roland Humphrey is Wearing a WHAT? is a story for anyone who marches to a beat of their own, and celebrates diversity, empathy and acceptance.
