From doodles to sheepdogs living all around the world, there’s a new dog to meet on almost every page. The pages are filled with adorable and humorous before and after haircut photographs, along with dialog written from the pups’ viewpoints, which are all humorous and full of personality. Some pet owners made lookalike dog shapes out of all the floof, while others sent out messages for help! An English Labrador Retriever who got spooked by the electric razor ended up with a spot of missing hair that looks like the perfect piggy bank slot. Instagram handles are included with the pups’ pics, so that readers can connect with them online, too.

Delicately woven into the book is a COVID-19 timeline with some stats—it’s done in a way that adds perspective and reminds us of the seriousness of the pandemic. About the Author

Shelley Ross is president of The Cure Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit group of top international scientists sharing knowledge to treat the most severe cases of COVID-19. As the executive producer of Good Morning America, she was in the control room as news anchors Diane Sawyer and Charlie Gibson broadcast the attacks live. Over the decades, she has produced iconic stories on sexual harassment, investigations of Pentagon policy, covered political scandals and corruption, three wars and produced multiple interviews with four presidents.

She broadcast live television specials from the White House after Columbine, from an aircraft carrier in the middle of the war on terror, from the Pentagon the day of its reopening after the 9/11 attacks and from the Tower of London on the 50th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s ascension to the throne.

Three weeks before the U.S. invasion of Iraq, she traveled to Baghdad to produce an interview with the notorious Dr. Germ, the architect of Saddam Hussein’s WMD program.
